Sign-up service closed

The Web Feed Generator service has temporarily been closed to new customers to clear the way for important system changes. Existing customers will continue to access the service as normal. Metacentric is preparing to further simplify the feed creation process, to guide beginners through the steps to publish a news feed. This work is expected to introduce significant changes to the private area of the site. The suspension of the sign-up service will help focus on current customers' needs and properly plan the changes with them.

The new account page answers some basic questions about these changes.

One small step for simpler news feeds

Metacentric Internet Limited today launched a major update to the Web Feed Generator service at http://www.metacentric.net/ that further simplifies the creation of low maintenance RSS news feeds. This update removes several steps from the feed creation process so that customers can quickly set up news feeds and move on.

Government news feed pilot

Metacentric Internet Limited has launched a pilot scheme for government departments that brings a new meaning to the phrase "Freedom of Information". The Web Feed Generator service at http://www.metacentric.net/ now offers a free 30 day trial that enables government Web sites to publish their own Internet news feeds in RSS format. The new package, called "Free Trial .gov", is designed to demonstrate the benefits of news feed technology to senior IT managers.
