Safari profile

Version 2 of the popular Mac Web browser introduced an integrated feed reader. The display length of item sumaries can be adjusted with a slider control.

Requires Mac OS X. Free at time of writing.

Safari identifiers

The Web Feed Generator provides customers with server logs to check demand for their news feeds. Each feed reader has its own code name or identifier that is reported in the server logs and shows which program was used to check a feed. To help make sense of these feed metrics, Safari is identified by the following code names.
